This cute printed jersey dress. It’s a little short to go bare legged. Uniqlo always does these designer collaborations and I never hear about them till all the stuff is on sale.

Clothing and I have never gotten along but recently I finally feel like I’m starting to get it. Here are some excuses for why I dress like a slob: I’ve always been quite lazy when it comes to dressing and being comfortable is also very important to me. I kind of hate (and love and love to hate) spending money. I have a relatively extreme figure (this is an assumption based on how clothes fit me). I have no idea what looks good on me. So, all that has always been at odds with what’s fashionable. However! It’s hard to be a slob in Japan because everyone is so well dressed and cute, so I’ve been trying.

My favorite fashion magazine here is Soup (スープ) because it’s more mature but still fun and casual. The styles really appeal to me because these are things that actual people, with actual jobs, who actually have to look normal, might wear. Soup also has really great hair features. I really don’t know what’s on trend in the states for spring, but in Japan I see two things: button up shirts and khakis. Neither of these things are particularly amazing on their own, but I think that’s why they’re so popular.
